April Fools!

Surprise!!!

If you came here to this blog per a note on the back of a bridal shower invitation, now you know why...April Fools!

I know it was kind of a "corny" April Fools joke, but it has been in the making for a while now.  Sometime last year, I ran across extra invitations from Natalie & Shannen's dual bridal shower.  My thoughts were that they were too cute to just throw away, but what other purpose did they have at this moment?  Then the idea came...save them for a goofy April Fools joke.  The invitations have been sitting in my bedroom closet waiting for this day.  I mailed them out on Saturday, March 30, 2013 (By the way, I was sad to miss your baby shower Natalie.  I heard it was AWESOME!  I was in class during the entire event though.) with the hopes they would arrive in your mailbox on April 1, 2013.  I hope my plan worked, and that I confused you for a minute.  Ha Ha Ha.

Happy Birthday Aunt April too!!!

Love you All!!!

Marvin Wu

This guy was one of the best tour guides that I've ever had...  Now that I think of it, he might be the only professional tour guide I've ever had.  His name is Marvin Wu.  I have his contact information.  Let me know if you plan to be in Beijing, China, anytime soon, I'll hook you up with the best tour guide ever!!!

My group had two other tour guides on the trip.  My camera was already lost at the point I met them though.  Both of them used the English name of Eric.  One was our guide in Hong Kong and the other in Zhu Hai.  I think Eric of Zhu Hai had what he considered a "lucky" hair growing out of his neck and chin region.  I swear it was at least seven inches long.  It was a solo strand of hair that just hung there.  I couldn't believe it.  How has it been preserved this long?  It seems like it would have been caught on something and pulled out by now.  :0)

Building the Dream - ZION

My stake received an assignment to build a float for the Days of '47 Parade to take place this year on Tuesday July, 24, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  I was asked to be part of the float committee by our chairs, Brother and Sister Pixton.  I had the assignment of being photographer/historian/publicist.  This video is something I put together to demontrate the process of building the float at the Float Preview Party that took place at the South Towne Expo Center on July 16 and 17.

Celestial Indeed!

I recently discovered that a good friend of mine from the Hannah chapter of the IWA at Salt Lake Community College has an awesome blog about all her crafting, etc.  I remember the way too cute cookies she made for one of our activities once.  I held onto one and used it for a decoration for quite some time...I couldn't bring myself to eat it. :)  She gives a lot of fun tutorials in her blog.  Check it out!
